Do Not Break

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

I think we at the CST blog should take a word of advice from Apparat (Sascha Ring) and Ellen Aillen when they say Do Not Break.. Something which I know I will strive for in the coming months. No breaks… Just a cache of banging tunes.

Bringing us back into the swing of things, is the aforementioned Do Not Break, released on BPitch Control. Entitled Orchestra of Bubbles, Ellen Allien and Apparat teamed up in 2006 to produce an album electronic delight.

UK producers Joseph Ashworth and William Green, aka Joe and Will Ask have taking Do Not Break in all its pitch-bending goodness and mixed it into something a little more euphoric. I hope you enjoy.

Electric Night Waves..

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Going through my inbox this morning I stumbled across this track… Well these two remixes. The original is by a a couple of guys who go under the name of NightWaves. Based in L.A they are a part of a larger group of Dj’s stepping back to the basics and releasing some hot tunes.

NightWaves will be releasing their first EP, She’s Electric through People In The Sky Records. The guys who first broke the Friendly Fires with their track Paris. The Ep is available digitally through iTunes, Amazon, or Beatport. Be sure to check these tracks out and if you really love them, support the artist and buy buy buy.

We are still Alive…

Sorry guys, it’s been a month since my last post. Yes I could go into some crazy story about how I have been traveling around the world partying and relaxing… But I haven’t… Kind of wish I had. So since it’s been a month I thought I would share with you what I have been listening to.. My kind of high rotation list. Some of these have been tearing it up the Hypem popular list for the last couple of weeks, while others, a little older but still hot

Since releasing The Spirit of Apollo, N.A.S.A has been compared to artists like Girl Talk and A-Trak just to name a few. The record takes you on a journey, each track being different in its own way, but I would have to say this is my favourite from the record. Its Gifted… and has been tearing it’s way though the world wide web.

I think that it is obvious that I am a massive fan of Fred Falke‘s remixes. Sharing a few since the early days of the blog I’m always keeping an eye out for more tracks he has done. Taking the Example track, Watch The Sun Come Up he has worked his magic, as always, and turned this track into his own, in his laid back chillaxed way.

Basement Party is one hot track… There is something about it that just had me at hello. Check it out… I don’t need to say more.
