This New Tech

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

When talking about Australian electronic music you can’t go very long without mentioning The Midnight Juggernauts. This being said, I have never been the biggest of fans. Singles and remixes aside, I really didn’t have much love for these guys.

This is of course, until I heard their latest release This New Technology. The song had an unmistakable Beatles vibe that had me feeling like I was immersed in a Wes Anderson Movie. I can’t wait till these guys are done with their next album. I am expecting big things.

LA animals

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

This track was actually sent to me a couple of days ago now… I thought I’d just hold back a little, try to work out the perfect time to share is. You know try to give these guys maximum exposure. But it exploded, there are a lot of people out there who feel about this track in particular as I did. It’s simply titled Los Angeles and it is by two twenty year old housemates from LA, Animalistics.
They use a sample throughout the track which was made popular with the Justice track We Are Your Friends. Reworked, a little more laid back, but still reaching it’s peak in just the right places this tune and group will be tearing up the dance floors very soon. Keep an eye out for new tunes, I’m sure you will like them. You can check out more from these guys here.
