Montauk has been described as ‘salon-luxury pop’ which sounds like an amazing genre, and if that is how they are branded and eventually they begin the salon-luxury pop movement, well, we have last.fm to thank. They have sent me their newest single ‘Holiday‘, which has been my pleasure to pass on to you, including remix treats of Justin Faust & Visitor. Now everybody sing ‘H.O.L.I.D.A.Y!’
P.S. – Added bonus, Montauk‘s heavily blogged remix of Titiyo – Drunken Gnome.

Montauk – Holiday (Justin Faust Remix) (192)

Since we last posted about french duo Jamaica they scored a track on Kitsuné Maison 9 (which was amazing) and have had one of these years biggest producers remix their debut single. Enjoy Breakbot and Buffalo Bunch remixing ‘I Think I Like U 2′.

Act Yo Age are at it again, this time with ‘A Song For Nona’. Listing to this I’m unsure what exactly to write or which way to go about it. There is this kind of hidden funky bass line running underneath but still leaves me unsure which way to attack this song. Well the original at least. So just as I begin to figure it out, Coconut Wireless throw a spanner in the works with their remix. It comes across as a completely different song, but still has features of the original.
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted anything by R!M!E and I’ve got to admit he kind of dropped off my radar until this email came through packed full of mp3 goodness. Three new tracks. 1) A Roman Flugel remix of ‘Gehts Notch’. 2)‘UFO’ by R!M!E himself. And 3)Another R!M!E original, ‘In The Grey’. R!M!E also has an EP due out on April 23 on Noise Porn Records, more info here.
At the beginning of the month we shared a remix by Cassian. I though now it was time to share a hour long ‘Mr Friday Night mix’ which landed in our inbox yesterday.
This year Splendour In The Grass packs up and heads north to warmer more tropical climates. The 10th anniversary finds itself at Woodford Qld – home of the Woodford Folk Festival, just north of Brisbane.
