Modern eyes.

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

I’m not sold yet on Jump Jump Dance Dance, sure their bio tells us they have a lot going for them (besides their name) but I’m always cautious of bands that release remixes of their stuff before they release their tracks, especially when the don’t have much else to show.

Their first single ‘show me the night‘ was well remixed by Grum, and I think more popular than the original.

I guess enjoy these remixes, the vocals are nice, the chorus is the real strength of this song should have dragged it out more. Both remixes are fairly different though, and play on the vocals well.

*Thinking out loud, I think I would love to hear a Cassian or Kris Menace take on this song.

Be cool Moonchild.

I have almost got so sick of this song that i nearly refused to listen to another remix, until I someone said it sounds nothing like the original and I noticed Moonchild‘s name attached to it, I hope that’s enough to entice you to listen.

Sounds Of Shapes

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

It’s hard to describe what exactly Sounds Of Shapes is and isn’t just yet. It is a concept and an outlet for circle.square.triangle‘s resident photographer Lauren to update her own folio as well as express her creative pursuits.

We have together scribbled through notepads and scrap paper over many coffees and hopefully some of these ideas/concepts see the light of day through this arm of circle.square.triangle.

Sounds Of Shapes is also going to be home of all the photographs taken by Lauren for nights circle.square.triangle are asked to cover and we will obviously link through our page so you know what is where.

Merci!

super disco.

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

I’m suuuper excited about this. in disco we trust.

‘It comes from a very familiar place from some very familiar people. It wont hurt a bit, in fact you’re going to really love it. It won’t rip you off, or disappoint you with empty promises. It’s not about spamming you on the web, but you’ll be talking about it all week. It’s not about phoney guest lists or diluted drink cards. It’s not about the latest fad, but it will excite you. It’s all about house music and the pleasure of the dance floor. This is Super Disco.’

Oh no! Yes!

Can Grum do anything wrong right now? He is killing it. Hot release one after another this time his remixing Marina And The Diamonds.. f**K. Still keeping the original elements to the song, ‘Oh No!’ has had the Grum fine tuning applied to is.. Sped it up funky keys hot bass and strong steady beat. Whenever we receive new music I would listen to the first twenty seconds, if it doesn’t catch me by then I don’t listen to anymore – harsh maybe, but I will only post what I like. This one had me from the start.!

Moonchild…

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Wow. I really don’t know what to say. It was Moonchild‘s track ‘Girl’ which first caught my eye. The strong steady underlying bass lines, mixed in with a touch of french house and disco. I love this track. That lead me on to discover one of his remixes of ‘Long distance’ call by Pheonix. Which then lead me to download all his tunes on soundcloud. Here are a couple to entice your sences but be sure to check more tunes out here.
